Média Animation: Open Film Contest

Are you concerned about racism and intolerance? Do you want to put forward a positive vision of interculturality? So, express yourself by participating in the thirteenth edition of the “Open Films” contest to perhaps attend the screening of your film through Wallonia and Brussels from 9 to 24 March 2018.

By giving voice to citizens and associations, the “Open Film Contest” is a key event for expression and creativity around diversity and the fight against racism that brings together nearly 80 films. As of now, the 2018 edition of the Short Films Competition is launched. Through this contest, Média Animation invites those who have things to say, to tell, to show on the issue of tolerance, living together, intercultural dialogue, the fight against prejudice, … to express themselves. An opportunity to react to discrimination and intolerance.

Its originality? It is both to encourage achievements and original creations, but above all, to ensure wide dissemination through fifteen sessions of “Vote of the Public” in several cities in Wallonia and Brussels and dissemination televised winning films of the public prize “favorite” and “punch” and the jury prize.

For the participants, the goal is to make a video about the theme “For interculturality, against racism” of 5 minutes maximum. The competition has its originality to be open to all (no need to be a seasoned professional to put you there) and to be open to various genres (docu, fiction, animation, report …).
